Among the many sculptures along the BeltLine is this collection of silver oak leaves (only species found in Georgia). Most were impossible to shoot without getting apartment buildings or other structures in the background. The leaves are placed along a small hillside facing west. I was there in late morning before the sunlight hit them directly.
Of the seven or so sculptures, I found two with no background distractions and sufficient light to separate them from the shaded foliage. The larger image was my attempt to capture as many of them as possible in a single frame.
I can imagine these leaves gleaming in late afternoon sun. Perhaps, one day I will return to see if reality matches my thoughts.
