Description: A Church in Late Afternoon Light
Background: Out for an autumn stroll with my wife, we came across this church just as the sun was going down behind the trees. The traffic on the street had been relatively heavy, but for a moment, it let up, and a quiet fell over the scene. The yellow leaves and cyan sky frame the building, offering just the right amount of color as the shadows grow deeper. While framing this scene in the viewfinder, I paused to appreciate the subtle, serene beauty of it all.

Meets expectations? Yes! I wanted to capture the sense of tranquility that this scene evoked when I happened upon it, and the image perfectly reflects what I saw. The left-sided shutter release of the Konica Pearl II is still cumbersome for me, so this image taken at 1/125 is slightly blurred due to camera shake. Even so, this image conveys exactly what I had hoped.
