On looking at the negatives, my first thought was of the old Outer Limits TV show. The odd light patch looked like a spider from another dimension (I took that show way too seriously). Apparently, this happens with high-speed film in dry conditions. I was testing focus accuracy on two Minolta-35 IIBs with different lenses using Kentmere 400 in Atlanta’s summer humidity, so this result seems odd. Another possible explanation is that I was standing on a wool rug lying on a somewhat slippery hardwood floor, which may have juiced me up. I would have been very upset had these been production shots. As it is, I will move the rug and touch something metal before handling all-metal cameras in the future.
