I’m a sucker for reflections. Watching the clouds in the first image slowly move, contrasted against a clear, blue sky, was like watching a movie of sorts. The second image caught my attention because the light reflecting on the banner resembled ripples on a pond. The sun was bright, so I had to use my hand to shield the Minolta AF-C’s lens. Even while using 100 ISO film, I did not expect the AF-C’s fastest shutter speed of 1/430 to be up to the task—I was wrong.
