Description: A city scene framed by two skyscrapers
Background: Midtown Atlanta has seen a building boom over the last 15 years. My walk took me down Spring Street, which for years had been a series of empty lots and past-their-prime buildings. My pace slowed as I marveled at the newness of it all, and turned up this small street to explore its transformation. As I walked up the slight incline that rises between Spring Street and West Peachtree Street, I turned to look over my shoulder to avoid cars. The sun, heading lower into the sky, cast light on the left-most building, which reflected onto the building on my right. This ricocheting light and the narrowness of the street created a perfect frame for the cityscape beyond.
Technical: Minolta AF-C, 38mm f/2.8, Ultrafine Xtreme 100, DF96, Epson V600, Epson Scan 2
Does the image meet my expectations? Yes! My main concern when photographing this scene was that the relative darkness where I stood would trick the AF-C’s meter and overexpose the sky and buildings that received direct sunlight. As usual, the little AF-C handled the scene perfectly.

Very nice! Minolta af-c is my absolute favourite in analogue cameras!
Thanks!
I love my AF-C cameras. They always take sharp, correctly exposed images. Nearly every time I go out to shoot, an AF-C is with me as a second camera. The 35mm FL is perfect for capturing city scenes.
